Our Crystal

Every Oryx Coffee glass is handmade using the finest hand-blown  crystal delivering a satisfyingly bold, weighty feel with a flawless clarity and brilliance when held up to the light.

We are very proud to be associated with such an outstanding team of craftsmen and women who produce these superb crystal items to our exacting designs.

Craftsmanship

In producing our crystal coffee glasses, we wanted to utilise the skills and artistry that have been honed and passed down for hundreds of years.

Each of our glasses are individually handblown by master glassblowers many of who have trained for over 10 years to achieve the level of consistency and finish that we require.

Oryx crystal coffee glasses are blown via beautifully crafted cherry wood moulds. Each glass is then left to cool before our unique cold cut rim is precisely finished by hand.

This design of the rim has been adopted from a technique used on the worlds finest crystal wine glasses which  enhances the release of the aromas from the glass and not least give a clean beautiful line to the top of the finished glass.

Unique skills honed through generations

Each Oryx glass is hand made, using traditional methods passed down over hundreds of years by proud master craftsmen.

Great care and pride in crystal production

A perfect marriage of our dedicated design processes along  with glassblowing skills passed down for centuries enable us to produce the most desirable crystalware possible.

The use of cherry wood moulds and not metal ones as used in mass produced products, enhances our commitment to preserving these time honoured skills.

Sustainability

Sustainability is a core consideration in everything we do.

We are always aware of this commitment, from our initial design ideas through to sourcing like-minded partners, ethical production methods including our FCA approved recyclable packaging and some stock being manufactured from re-cycled coffee cups.

All of our processes are constantly reviewed. This ensures that we continue to create desirable products that don't compromise on quality, but remain conscious of how they may impact our communities and environments both now and for our future generations.
